3003 alloy is a standard aluminium grade. It has improved mechanical properties over alloy 1050. It is readily fabricated and and like all aluminium is less than a third of the mass of steel and offers improved corrosion resistance. Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.
3003 aluminium alloy offers a combination of improved corrosion resistance and workability. With improved strength when compared to 1100 aluminium, 3003 finds particular use in sheet metal applications.
